Rapper “Dosage” Is the Truth – New Project In the Works

I had the privilege of linking up with Philadelphia-based disc jockey/producer/engineer DJ Ferno and music artist/entrepreneur/clothing-line CEO Dosage. Being in the same studio with these two, I couldn’t help but feel that I was in the presence of greatness. Dosage is Lupe Fiasco’s new protege. He was asked by Lupe to tour/perform on the Steppin Laser Tour in 2010 with B.o.B., and Dosage really made his mark. His stage presence creates magic before the eyes as his captivated crowd erupts with screams and applause. On stage, he appears super comfortable and confident, and he has the swagger of a music artist that has been performing for decades. In the studio, he is as humble and intelligent as they come. His rhymes deliver deep-rooted messages and evoke emotion, which is something that hiphop has been missing. He started up his own clothing line with an eye-catching design and continuously reminds his audience to “look for the logo.” His clothing and logo is inspired by his life-philosophy of “3d” which stands for “Dream, Drive, and Determination.” Talking with Dosage, I mentioned that his mixtape entitled “Sand & Foam” made me feel the way Nas’ “Illmatic” made me feel the first time I listened to it. He is very appreciative of feedback and is constantly forward-moving. Lupe Fiasco also had Dosage feature on the All City Chess Club’s “I’m Beamin’ Remix” (You can listen to/download this song below). He is featured inbetween Diggy Simmons and B.o.B. You can also visit Dosage’s website at www.3dlook4dalogo.com to purchase 3d clothing.

Fellow deejay and producer DJ Ferno is also approaching greatness in a similar way as his name is becoming more popular within the deejay/party scene. He has been producing and engineering in the studio for some time now, and listening to his upcoming tracks, it’s clear that he will also make a large footprint in the music industry. Ferno is the protege of Power99 and Philadelphia’s well-known deejay DJ Dee Square and has recently opened for DJ Jazzy Jeff. You can visit DJ Ferno’s blog at www.djferno.com

I truly look forward to working a lot more with these two in the coming years because there is such positive energy when we are in the studio together. Get ready for some major songs to flood the hiphop community in 2011 from J Farell, DJ Ferno, and Dosage.
